The Norton Commando 850cc (actually 828cc) was produced from 1973 through 1975. Introduced as a more durable, higher-torque alternative to the 750cc model, the 850 spanned three variations — Roadster, Interstate, Hi-Rider — culminating in the Mark III electric-start model in 1975. Production of the 850 officially began around March 1973. The John Player Norton (1972–1973) is a limited-edition racing-inspired model. Restored motorcycles, original survivors, project bikes, and non-running examples are all accepted. No restoration or preparation is required before selling.
